BACKGROUND
Rupert brings a wealth of experience and a passion for innovation to the FinTech space. His career showcases a deep understanding of financial services, technology, and entrepreneurship. Rupert actively invests in and advises multiple early-stage financial, technology and SaaS companies.
During his career, Rupert was the founder and CEO of a successful global Asian equities broker. He led the company to a successful listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006 before its acquisition by China's second-largest broker, Haitong, in 2015.
Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Rupert's background in investment banking and his ACA qualification from PwC demonstrate a strong foundation in financial services. His expertise adds valuable depth to his current roles as chair of BuildPartner & Halocycle, investor director at Racoon Media, director at Education Intelligence, and board advisor at Algbra and Bikmo. He was formerly a board adviser to Bought By Many, Sweaty Betty, Ten Lifestyle and the Key for Schools.
When Rupert isn't immersed in the world of FinTech and investment, he enjoys sailing and spending time with his family.
